What's Hot....

Nintendo DiscDrive

I'm going to explain this so everyone can understand.

In the picture above you is a N64 but what's that in front of it? Well it's the new Nintendo DiscDrive. The DiscDrive is a cartridge adaptor,sort-of. It's just like a cartridge but in it is a 6x CD-ROM unlike the Playstation's 2x. The DiscDrive uses twice the ram (regular cartridge 4mb's DiscDrive 8mb's) and more space for programing code. In a normal cartridge a programmer has to jam code on a 12mb space, but on a DiscDrive a programmer has 64megs of space to work with. The bummer is that you really can't put any video clips because the DiscDrive delivers info by short bursts. There is an alternative though, the programmer can put an animation on that is a 3-D designed one. So your probably wondering how much it costs by now, huh. Well Nintendo said it costs less than a cartridge( but I doubt that, at least you don't have to buy a new system) so until then I guess it still a cartridge.
